HELP HOME CARE'S RESPONSE TO COVID-19

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, the health and wellness of our clients and caregivers remain our top priority. Help Home Care continues to take every precaution to keep clients and caregivers updated on how to stay healthy.

We are closely monitoring both the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization’s (WHO) websites, as well as state and local government departments for live and up-to-date guidance and the newest knowledge related to COVID-19.

There are several everyday preventative actions we should all take to reduce possible exposure to or spread of the virus:

  • Keep Hands Clean
    • Properly wash your hands regularly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds especially after you have engaged in any activity that could cause contamination of you or others.
    • If soap and water are not available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Apply to both the front and back of your hands.
    • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with your hands, this will aid in decreasing the chance of infection.
  • Avoid close contact
    • Avoid contact with anyone who is ill.
    • Avoid nonessential trips out of your home.
    • Keep the distance between yourself and others at least six feet.
    • A-systematic people can spread the disease.
    • COVID-19 can be more difficult for those with underlying conditions.
  • Wear a mask
    • You could spread COVID-19 to others even if you do not feel sick.
    • Continue to keep about 6 feet between yourself and others. The cloth face cover is not a substitute for social distancing.
  • Clean and disinfect
    • Clean AND disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily. This includes tables, doorknobs, light switches, countertops, handles, desks, phones, keyboards, toilets, faucets, and sinks.
    • If surfaces are dirty, clean them. Use detergent or soap and water prior to disinfection.
    • Then, use a household disinfectant. The most common EPA-registered household disinfectants will work.

This is a difficult time that the entire world is facing. We ALL can play a role in easing the stress for each other. Here at HHC, our priority is caring for your loved ones and supply our clients and caregivers with reliable up to date information on how to stay protected.
